About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP CPI Expert for a leading global organization, with proven hands-on experience in designing, developing, implementing, and deploying multiple complex integration projects using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), part of SAP Integration Suite running on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
The organization is currently undertaking a significant integration project and requires an expert with extensive practical experience in delivering end-to-end SAP CPI solutions, from solution design and development through successful go-live and production support.
The role combines the design and development of new interfaces with responsibility for existing integrations, including ongoing maintenance, monitoring, complex troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring the stability and reliability of the integration landscape.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, implement, and deploy integration interfaces using SAP CPI.
- Play a significant hands-on technical role in the organization's ongoing integration project.
- Develop and maintain integration flows (iFlows) between SAP systems and external applications.
- Monitor production interfaces, identify failures, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to avoid recurring incidents.
- Maintain, enhance, and optimize existing integration interfaces.
- Collaborate with SAP teams, infrastructure teams, information security teams, and business stakeholders.
- Implement connectivity, authorization, and security solutions within the SAP BTP environment.
What we're looking for
- Significant and proven professional experience as an SAP CPI / SAP Cloud Integration Expert.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in implementing and delivering multiple SAP CPI projects, including independent development, testing, and successful go-live.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and implement complex end-to-end integration solutions, having served as both a technical solution lead and a hands-on implementer across multiple projects.
- Extensive hands-on experience developing iFlows, data mappings, transformations, and complex integration processes.
- Proven experience in maintaining, monitoring, and supporting integration interfaces in production environments.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP RISE projects.
- Experience migrating integrations from SAP PI/PO to SAP Cloud Integration.
- Strong independent troubleshooting capabilities, including log analysis, communication failures, and data transfer issues.
- In-depth understanding of SAP BTP, including its architecture, services, connectivity, authorizations, and security.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP Integration Suite and SAP Cloud Integration.
- Experience working with REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, XML, and JSON.
- Hands-on experience developing Groovy scripts.
- Proven experience integrating SAP systems with external applications.
- Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently, complete tasks within agreed timelines, demonstrate a system-wide perspective, and take full technical ownership.
- High proficiency in English.
